Root Honey™ Plus PGPR™

Root Honey Plus PGPRRoot Honey™ Plus PGPR™ is a premium 1-0-1 liquid bio-nutrient enhanced with polymicrobial strain PGPRs (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria). The polymicrobial strains have been selected for their ability to build strong relationships with turf and ornamental plants, creating a healthier environment more conducive for plant growth.

Root Honey Plus PGPR is 66% active ingredient, with amino acids derived from 20% oilseed extract, 20% carbohydrates, 5% high-grade fulvic acid, 8% kelp extract, 1% silica, and 10% PGPR. This ingredient rich formulation combining a bio-nutrient source and PGPR increases microbial growth and activity while also providing greater opportunity for plant growth and increased vigor under stressful conditions such as drought and salinity.

Root Honey Plus PGPR is tank-mix compatible with most fertilizer and pesticide solutions but a bench test is recommended.

Available in 2 x 2.5 case, 55 gallon drum, 250 gallon tote.

Root Honey Plus is formulated with diverse polymicrobial strains and metabolites each contributing differently in the rhizosphere.

Bacillus subtilis: Enzyme production facilitates nutrient solubilization, uptake, and utilization in the plant. Breaks down and converts organic matter into plant usable forms. Produces lipopeptides and metabolites that promote plant growth and increased photosynthesis.

Bacillus methylotrophicus: Siderophore production naturally chelates iron improving uptake and utilization. Converts atmospheric nitrogen into plant usable forms. Biofilm formation holds nutrients in the soil profile.

Bacillus amyloliquefasciens: initiate root growth and development.

Bacillus laterosporus: Produces enzymes known to promote and allow root proliferation in the presence of adverse consortias.

Bacillus lichenformis: Unbinds and disassociates salts from soil particles freeing up exchange sites for other cations. Enzyme production increases phosphorus solubilization and availability.


Oilseed Extract: Contains amino acids which are a food source for microbes and serve as the building blocks of proteins, providing growth and repair of plant tissue.

Kelp Extract: Two kelp sources, Ascophyllum nodosum and Ecklonia maxima provide a balanced blend of metabolites that promote shoot growth and root initiation.

Carbohydrates: Molasses provides immediate energy for microbes. Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide stimulating microbial activity.

Fulvic Acid: Promotes antioxidant production mitigating stress damage to plant cells and improves micro-nutrient chelation.

Silica: Increases plant hardiness/rigidity improving stress tolerance.

  • Lawn – 2 to 4 oz per 1000 sq. ft., 2 to 4 apps per season
  • Fairways – 1 to 2 oz per 1000 sq. ft. every 21 to 28 days
  • Greens & Tees – 2 to 4 oz per 1000 sq. ft. every 7 to 14 days
  • Sports Fields – 2 to 3 oz per 1000 sq. ft. monthly
  • Flowers & Bedding Plants – 1 to 2 gallons per 100 gallons water, apply 2 to 3 gallons finished product per 1000 sq. ft.
  • Transplants – 1 to 2 gallons per 100 gallons water, apply as a drench.
